9/12 Sign Ideas

Change any of the below “ObamaCare” references to “KennedyCare” if you like!

  • If you can’t pay for “Cash for Clunkers”
How can you pay for Healthcare for Americans
  • You can’t call yourself a Patriot
    If you’re not Outraged
  • When Obama Lies
    Grand Ma Dies
  • End of Congress Counseling…
    Held at the Ballot Box
  • Free Healthcare is expensive
  • Fix Medicare
    Leave us alone
  • Tort Reform
If you can’t fix this, what can you fix?
  • Put the really poor on Medicaid.
Leave the rest of us alone
  • Me Puede prometer usted que mis do’lares de impuesto no financiaran abortos?
  • Congress won’t enroll in the cr@ppy care that they want to enroll us in.
  • Stop cutting funding to my doctor.  I want him to stay in business.
  • Help Americans have the same assistance foreigners have
    To become doctors.
  • It’s not about
    healthcare for us.
    It’s about power
    for them.
  • ALWAYS
    LOVE YOUR COUNTRY—
    BUT NEVER
    TRUST YOUR GOVERNMENT—
  • IN GOD WE TRUST
    BUT CONGRESS BEARS WATCHING
  • DO WE REALLY WANT
    THE SAME PEOPLE
    WHO TAX US TO DEATH
    IN CHARGE OF OUR HEALTHCARE?
  • EVEN IF IT WAS
    A GOOD PLAN,
    THE GOVERNMENT
    WOULD SCREW IT UP
  • JUST SAY “NO”
    TO OBAMACARE
  • OBAMACARE:
IF IT’S GOOD ENOUGH FOR US,
    IT’S GOOD ENOUGH FOR CONGRESS
  • THE TRUTH IS
    WE CAN’T TRUST YOU
    WITH OUR MONEY
    AND WE DON’T TRUST YOU
    WITH OUR HEALTHCARE
  • VOTE NO OR I WILL

A Matter of Trust

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:36 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Got this in my inbox today and it is SO TRUE.

Conservatives want Health Care Reform also. The entire issue is essentially one of “TRUST”.

The Liberals want the Government to use its heavy hand to make it happen. This requires a huge expenditure to create another monstrous and mindless Federal Government beaurocracy. They do not trust the People to get it done.

The Conservatives want to get the system fixed by using incentives, not mandates, to encourage the American people operating within the Capitalistic system to get it done. They do not trust the Federal Government to get it done.

The real question confronting us is whether we, as human beings, are going to continue to have the freedom to make our own choices; whether we continue to have our inalienable rights. ObamaCare takes those rights away from us with respect to medical care; a first step towards the ultimate elimination of our rights and the total subjugation of the American People. Obama is trying to break and “tame” us. Do not let it happen. Fight like your very lives depend on it, for they do.

Important reading about health care reform

Posted in Uncategorized at 3:29 pm by gsoteapartygirl

This is serious, serious stuff folks.  Just got two great articles sent to my inbox today.  Please read them if you haven’t already.  I’ll try and compress my “must-read” list into one post sooner or later but Townhall has got at least a couple of series running about what’s in the health care legislation, one by Chuck Norris and the other by Thomas Sowell (whose medical decisions, i-iv). Check ’em out if you haven’t already.

Socialized Healthcare vs. the Laws of Economics An explanation of what can (will) happen if the government becomes more involved in paying for our health care.

And this, No Compromise on Health ‘Reform’, Why the GOP Should Resist All Entreaties to be “Bipartisan”.  We cannot be fooled by having the Democrats simply claim to take out the most offensive proposals from this bill.  There are 1000+ pages in the House version — that’s too much for any of us to have fully digested.  Pelosi is back insisting on a government option.  I think this is just a distraction and I’m not the only one.  We need to keep the pressure on and not let up.  Where, oh, where are our “media watchdogs”?  Why are they media lapdogs?  But maybe they agree with the elitists in power who think they can make decisions better than the rest of us?

Rally for Responsible Energy Policy — N&R biased coverage

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:18 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Here’s the link. Even though, they themselves admit that there were at least 6 times as many people inside the special events center protesting against the Cap & Tax legislation, the N&R managed to put in quotes from more people who are in favor of the bill.  They even managed to get in a jibe about “fake, astroturf” efforts funded by “big oil” and got Pricey Harrison to claim that the 300 people protesting were “oil employees or whoever they can get to look like there’s this groundswell opposition.”

I’m not going to call her any nasty names (although I’m tempted, given what’s been said about “tea party protesters” recently), but will just say that Ms. Harrison knows very well which side of the political aisle uses “fake” “astroturf” PAID “activists” and which side has regular people taking time out of their daily lives to protest legislation that could potentially crush the economy of the US.

Obama is God’s partner in life and death?!

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:54 pm by gsoteapartygirl

I hope this scares the hell out of anyone who is not already terrified! Do people listen to the stuff that comes out of his mouth???  At least this time someone was.   Here’s the story at Politico.

What is a Patriot?

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:12 am by gsoteapartygirl

Got this in my inbox yesterday and thought it was pretty interesting.  I wish I had more time to add my two cents but since we may be going through a bout of swine flu at the house, I’ve been a bit distracted.  Whatever this is, it’s awful and I don’t wish it on anyone else (ok, maybe there are just a few people out there I might wish it on….).  Well, anyway, here you go!

My Webster’s New Universal Unabridged Dictionary defines the noun “patriot” as “a person who loves and loyally or zealously supports his own country.” The adjective “patriot” is defined as “devoted to the welfare of one’s country”.

Political correctness dictates that all Americans are by definition “patriots”. But do all Americans loyally or zealously support our country? Are the all devoted to America’s welfare?

I have over the course of the summer found myself increasingly asking these questions. And they came again to mind as I watched the attached clip from ABC News on the John Murtha Airport. Is Murtha a “patriot” for taking money from other Americans to build an unnecessary airport in his district? Are Murtha’s constituents “patriots” for being proud of the way Murtha has looted our money to pay for an airport that only 20 of them use each day? And this is going on all around America, not just in John Murtha’s district.

If we are to save America as we know it, Americans must come to realize that taking from other Americans is not patriotic; it is stealing. (emphasis mine)

Murtha’s boondoggle airport is a huge poster child for this behavior. But so is all the little petty thefts, supporting Obamacare because you fool yourself into believing you are going to get “free” medical care or the unnecessary road projects that appear in my district. Someone has to pay for these expenditures. Just because the check comes from the Federal Government doesn’t mean that little old taxpaying me in Texas, and millions of others like me, aren’t footing the bill. Somebody has to produce the wealth that gets taxed to pay for this abuse.

WAKE UP, PEOPLE. IT IS UNPATRIOTIC TO STEAL FROM YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS.

Do you think John Murtha deserves another term looking after our interest???

Jon Bauman
The Woodlands, TX

Well, isn’t he on to something here? Do you think it’s patriotic to expect other people to pay for the things that you enjoy? And remember, if someone else is paying for your health insurance (or whatever) so you don’t have to, that means that whatever you are buying with the money you are not spending on health insurance (that big ol’ flat screen TV and the cable you watch on it, for example) you might just as well have stolen from that person. Think about it.

Rally for Responsible Energy Policy — Thursday Aug 20

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:34 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Energy Citizens is holding a rally in favor of “responsible energy policy.”  Tell Kay Hagan and Richard Burr to say “no” to Cap & Trade!

Thursday, August 20 at 5:30pm
Greensboro Coliseum
1921 West Lee Street
Greensboro, NC 27403

Here’s the info I have:

This rally is part of an “Energy Citizens” campaign that we are supporting with other national organizations to get the message across to our elected officials that we simply can’t accept new laws that will increase fuel prices, send jobs overseas and slow economic growth!

According to recent studies, new climate change legislation approved by the U.S. House will cost 2 million American jobs, raise gas prices to $4 per gallon, and reduce America’s energy security.  During this economic downturn, we can’t afford to increase energy prices or lose more American jobs.

Now the U.S. Senate is considering this same costly legislation.  That’s why I’m inviting you to the rally.  It’s a fun and easy way to make a difference and to let our Senators know they can’t make the same mistakes as the House. There will be free food, drinks and great entertainment.
