Congressional House Call Day: 11/5

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:12 pm by gsoteapartygirl

AFP is sponsoring something they are calling Congressional House Call Day next Thursday.  The idea is to pop into your local congressperson’s office at noon and let him/her know how you feel about this health care nonsense.  (“Hi, Kay!”)  They are suggesting you say: “Hands Off My Health Care.”  Here’s the link: http://americansforprosperity.org/nov-5-rsvp

Calling All Tea Party Patriots — Get Local!

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:52 am by gsoteapartygirl

Here in GSO, we have a pretty important local election coming up — namely that the entire City Council is up for (re)election.  The saying “All Politics is Local” is true and every one of us needs to get out and vote, if not on November 3rd, then now, since early voting has already started.

We’ve compiled some information about the local elections on GreeneFields and I will try and update it soon, although there is already lots of useful stuff there, including links to the candidates’ websites, organized by seat/candidate.

If you believe that GSO has been on the wrong path recently, then it is your obligation to vote and make your voice heard!

October Surprise

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:29 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Next week, October 19-23, Tea Party Patriots is planning an “October Surprise”.  We’re all going to be finding our own way to celebrate, as it were.  Here in Greensboro, we think it’d be great if you would go down to Kay Hagan’s office with a letter or two (one per issue) with your thoughts on current legislative proposals (i.e. cap & tax, health care “reform”).

I’ll be back with an update with the office location & hours later but you can find them yourself at hagan.senate.gov.
