If you are planning on going, you may want to check out Pelosi’s instructions to Democrats for the recess.

Here’s the information from his website:

Congressman Watt Announces District Work Period Town Hall Meeting Schedule
WASHINGTON, DC- Congressman Mel Watt (12th District of North Carolina) issued the following schedule for Town Hall Meetings during the Spring District Work Period.

Congressman Watt said: “There are a number of issues that Congress has been trying to deal with since my last opportunity to hold Town Hall Meetings. Responding to the economic downturn, efforts to save and create jobs, energy policy, reform of our regulatory structures for financial services and, of course, health care are but a few of these complex issues. As always, I look forward to interacting with my constituents in the 12th District to provide information to them and hear their perspectives on these and other issues of concern to them.”

Brad Miller on Health Care Legislation

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:44 pm by gsoteapartygirl

I went to his website to check out where he stands but the link “Rep. Brad Miller’s Statement on the Affordable Health Care for America Act” ISN’T working.  Hmm.  It claims the server is either rebooting or overloaded with requests.  I guess a lot of people are wondering where he stands.  Previously, he was in favor of the monstrous legislation they are attempting to push through but now, who can be sure.

The contact link is also not working, but you can find the contact information for Brad Miller at  Tell him that using procedural tricks to pass legislation is unacceptable, un-American and un-Constitutional!

2010 Tax Day Tea Party

Posted in Uncategorized at 3:47 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Conservatives for Guilford County is planning this year’s Tax Day Tea Party (that would be April 15th).  Location to be the same as last year, Governmental Plaza in downtown Greensboro, time is 5:30 PM.  For more information or to volunteer to help, please visit their Facebook page.

Here are the directions I cut & pasted from last year:

Directions to Governmental Plaza, Greensboro, NC:

Governmental Plaza is bordered by Washington St. to the south, Greene St. to the east, Market St. to the north, and Eugene St. to the west. The Rhino Times has very helpfully given us some more directions in this week’s issue. (But not on the internet so I can’t cut & paste.) It is apparently also called “McDonald Plaza” and is “between the Old Guilford County Courthouse on West Market Stree and the municipal building on West Washington Street. The plaza opens on to South Greene Street.” Much thanks to them!

Here’s the map:

Easy access from I-85 Business from either W. Lee St. or S. Elm Eugene. Access from west and north via Wendover Ave. to N. Elm St.

Here’s the link to public parking decks:

Thanks to Mike for finding these links!
