America’s New “Culture” War: Free Enterprise vs. Government Control

Posted in Uncategorized at 3:24 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Shocking to see this in the Washington Post but, there it is.  It’s definitely worth a read if you haven’t seen it already.  Some thoughts on how we can “sell” the ideas our country was founded on.  Why has it come to this???

Take Back Our State Rally – May 12, 2010

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:31 pm by gsoteapartygirl

NCFreedom is organizing a Take Back Our State rally May 12th at 11:00am at the Legislative Building in Raleigh.

This is the first day of the short session of the North Carolina General Assembly which starts at noon.

State Senator Phil Berger and State Representative Paul Stam will be introducing legislative that will force Attorney General Roy Cooper to file a lawsuit against federally mandated health care for North Carolina citizens. As of April 6th, twelve April 7th, eighteen states have filed lawsuits against this illegal mandate to nationalize health care. Help us become the next state to assert our Constitutionally guaranteed rights under the 10th amendment.

Visit the Take Back Our State rally page for a little more information and some printable fliers to pass out.  It seems like Bev Perdue and the rest of the people in charge in Raleigh are doing everything possible to allow the federal government to press ahead with the unconstitutional health care takeover legislation.  Let’s tell them that NC does not agree with their position!

Secret Service Calls in SWAT Team on Peaceful Tea Party Protest — Scares Innocent Child

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:56 pm by gsoteapartygirl

The Dana Show has a nice compilation of videos and all the details.  The lady in this video seems to be laughing about the whole thing.  It is a little ridiculous although at the same time wildly offensive.  See this interview with a girl who was there protesting calmly with her mother.

UPDATE: Anti-Tea Party Protests

Posted in Uncategorized at 2:45 pm by gsoteapartygirl

What are they protesting?  Does anyone know?

Since the Tea Party movement is about promoting liberty and an adherence to our Constitution, how can any American be opposed to it?

Just wondering.

UPDATE: I was sent this YouTube from last week’s TDTP in Raleigh.  You can hear it from the horses own mouths as it were.  Most of these folks aren’t really making any sense to me and aren’t saying things that are relevant to the Tea Party at all but, well, watch for yourself.  It’s long but that’s because they interview several people.  Note that at least one of the “protesters” doesn’t even know what the sign she is holding says!  Guess she didn’t make it herself….

PS, last year, when I organized the GSO Tea Party, I didn’t have ANY funding and I’m 99% sure this years GSO TDTP was not funded by any “big wealthy right-wing organization” either.  And I KNOW all ya’ll who came are not Astroturf. LOL.

Citizen Reporters Wanted to cover Tax Day Tea Parties

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:23 pm by gsoteapartygirl

Sorry I didn’t post this sooner but Pajamas Media is looking for citizen reporters to cover the TDTPs.  Go to their website to sign up.

Tea Party TV — the go-to place for news on the Tea Party Movement — will be streaming comprehensive coverage of the Tax Day Tea Party events. You can help us cover those events. Last year, we had more than 800 citizen reporters covering the April 15, 2009 events. This year, 900 citizen reporters have signed up already. What are you waiting for?

It’s really easy. Using your iPhone device, you can email the videos you take at the Tax Day Tea Parties right from the event in real time. And you can email the photos you are taking too.

Here’s what you need to do to get ready:

* Register as a PJTV Citizen Reporter at http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=pjtv-reporter-signup
* Send your practice videos or photos at any time before April 15 to see how the whole process works.
* On April 15, email your videos to us in real time, right from the tax day events.
